I've never told anyone this but I fell asleep during part of the movie the first time I saw it. Now I never saw it in the theater but it took me three times to see the movie from beginning to the end. I also agree with you about the ending, it was put there just some everyone would have something to talk about.
I can't remeber if I saw this with you in the theater; I just remember feeling the same way about DiCaprio having just seen Shutter Island. It was as if the two character's somehow overlapped and ultimately I didn't really care all that much about either of them. I found myself more fully engaged with the supporting characters in both films.

ReplyDeleteI was more interested in the supporting characters, too. It was a disappointment how thin they ultimately were.
